Vision Education and Together to Protect Human and the Environment Association have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in education, sustainability, AI and environmental innovation, marking a new step toward empowering youth, educators, and communities across Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to take a leading role in sustainable development.
Together is a leading Iraqi NGO promoting environmental protection, education, and human rights. Accredited by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and ISO 9001:2015 certified, Together operates across Iraq with more than 400 volunteers and active partnerships with UNFPA, OXFAM, FIDA, and Earth Day Network. The organization was honored with the Arab League’s 2023 Child-Friendly Institution Award and has represented Iraqi civil society at global climate conferences including COP27–COP29.
The partnership establishes a framework to design and implement educational programs and awareness campaigns focused on climate change, digital innovation, and sustainable development, integrating the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into teaching, community engagement, and institutional growth.
“This partnership bridges education, sustainability and AI innovation,” said Prof. Dr. Dana Khider Mawlood, CEO of Vision Education. “Together with a respected organization like Together, we are turning learning into action, equipping people with the knowledge and skills to build inclusive, resilient, and environmentally responsible communities.”
