Bigger Picture

Through our initiatives of providing scholarships, school renovations, and supplying essential resources to classrooms and students, coupled with funding educational institutions across the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, we strive to provide resources and opportunities. Our ambitious goal is to cultivate a more equitable and inclusive educational landscape for all.

  • Nawroz University

    Founded in 2004, Nawroz University holds the distinction of being the first private university in the Kurdistan Region. Located in Duhok, it encompasses fourteen academic departments spread across five colleges: Law and Politics, Administration and Economics, Languages, Engineering, and Sciences.

    With a history spanning two decades, the institution has remained steadfast in its commitment to delivering high quality education to students from across the Kurdistan Region. Moreover, Nawroz University is diligently working to expand its footprint in scientific research and forge reciprocal relationships with both local and international universities. This aims to bolster scientific collaboration and propel the university’s position on the global academic stage.

  • Frobel

    Founded in 2005 and based in Erbil, Frobel is an educational company that has played a pioneering role in transforming the education sector. In 2005, the company opened the first private school in Erbil with an English system and an internationally recognized curriculum. This initiative marked a significant milestone, contributing to a transformative shift in education. Frobel Company has had a profound impact, with hundreds of students graduating from its schools and pursuing their studies in some of the world’s most prestigious universities. The visionary approach of the company has not only shaped informed individuals but has also equipped a generation with the scientific and knowledge foundations essential to confront present and future challenges.

    Currently, the company owns five international schools: The International School of Choueifat – Erbil, The International School of Choueifat – Dream City, Cadmus International School – Dohuk, Cadmus International School – Erbil, and Mergasor International Primary School.

  • University of
    Kurdistan – Hewlêr (UKH)

    Inaugurated in 2006 by His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, the University of Kurdistan – Hewlêr (UKH) marked the advent of the first English-medium public university in the region. Since its foundation, the university has conferred degrees upon hundreds of students who have ascended to prominent roles and influential positions within both private and public institutions in the region.

    With the invaluable support from Vision Education, UKH has been able to maintain its distinguished academic stature and introduce innovative academic programs that address the demands of both the local and global labor market.

Of all investments and all priorities, I do not see anything more essential to our economy than education.

  • The Catholic University
    in Erbil (CUE)

    Supported by Vision Education, the Catholic University in Erbil (CUE) is a non-profit institution that cultivates an environment of tolerance and coexistence among individuals of varying religions and beliefs. It instills in students the values of community service, social justice advocacy, and the upholding of human rights. The university opens its doors to students from diverse backgrounds, including Christians, Muslims, Yazidis, and Kaka’is.

    As part of a global network of Catholic universities, the Catholic University offers a suite of distinguished academic programs and community activities to its students.

     

  • The Danielle Mitterrand
    French School in Erbil

    Founded in 2009, the Danielle Mitterrand French School in Erbil stands as the first and sole private school to offer a French Baccalaureate curriculum, duly approved by the French Government and recognized internationally. The school is a proud member of the Mission Laïque Française (MLF) network, which comprises 112 educational institutions committed to propagating the French language and culture beyond France’s borders.

    With the support of Vision Education, the school has consistently been able to extend a warm welcome to students ranging from nursery to high school.

  • Meltho International
    School

    Established in 2022 in Erbil, Meltho International School was founded by the Syriac Orthodox Archdiocese of Mosul. The school’s aim is to inspire displaced Christians from Mosul to remain within the country by offering their children a quality education and a conducive environment for building and continuing their lives in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

    Managed by the SABIS Educational Network and funded by Vision Education, Meltho International School has successfully attracted students from diverse religious and societal backgrounds. It has established itself as a hub that fosters academic excellence and serves as a beacon of hope for a diverse community.
