Vision Education CEO Joins Kurdish Progress in UK to Address Iraq’s Education and Sustainable Development


Sara Salahaddin Mustafa, CEO of Vision Education, recently participated in a panel discussion organised by Kurdish Progress in the UK. The event centred on Iraq’s education system and explored strategies for advancing sustainable development.

Engaging with experts and academics, Sara Salahaddin highlighted the significant challenges facing Iraq’s education sector, as well as the opportunities for progress; “Iraq’s education system faces several challenges, including insufficient infrastructure, which necessitates the construction of more than 10,000 new schools to ensure universal access to education for all students across the country.”

She further emphasised the efforts of the Iraqi government to promote sustainable development within the country.

During the panel, Sara Salahaddin showcased Vision Education’s continued commitment to the Kurdistan Region’s education sector, presenting key initiatives aimed at enhancing the educational environment and addressing shortcomings in the public system.

During her visit to the UK, she also met with Alex Cocker, Head of the Iraq Team at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to discuss Vision Education’s ambitious plans for both the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
